Australian English classes
If you know a bit of English but want to improve your conversation skills and learn some Aussie slang, join our free Australian English classes.
Classes run from 1pm to 3pm every Thursday during the school term in the Innovation Lab, Ruth Faulkner Library.
There is no need to register, just come along at the above time, and attend whenever you are availble. You do not need to attend each week.

Beginner English - Join the Waitlist
We’ve teamed up with Mercy Works to provide free beginner English classes. If you know a friend, family member, or neighbours who could benefit, you can help them get started.
The classes are for people from refugee backgrounds, those with humanitarian visas, and newly arrived migrants who want to build essential English language skills.
Classes will be held on Wednesdays during the school term at Belmont Oasis. Particpants are expected to attend each week to keep their place in the program.
Children aged 0 to 5 years are welcome, and free childcare is available if needed.

Please note, City of Belmont reisdents will be given preference.
Adult Migrant English Program
The Australian Federal Government run the Adult Migrant English Program (AMEP), which provides an opportunity for eligible migrants to learn and improve their English skills for free, with access to free childcare. The closest location to City of Belmont is the South Metropolitan TAFE in Carlisle.
