Residents who register for the program can collect their tree on Saturday 30 May 2026. More details will be provided on registration. 

To be eligible for the program you must be a resident in the City of Belmont. Renters are eligible to take part, but must obtain written permission from the property owner.

To satisfy this criteria you must present proof of address when collecting your free tree (driver's licence, utility bill etc).

• There is a limit of one tree per property

• Trees provided by the City must be planted within your residential property, and not on the council verge.

• Trees must be collected on Saturday 30 May 2026.
• The tree must be planted directly in the ground and not in pots or containers.

Evergreen tree with yellow fluffy flowers and red bud caps. Native to areas north of Perth.

Height: 4m to 10m
Conditions:  Tolerates full sun, blooms in Autumn
Wildlife: Attracts bees, birds and butterflies
 

Large tree with serrated grey green leaves and deep red-orange and pink flowers.

Scientific name: Banksia menziesii
Height: up to 10m
Conditions: Tolerates full sun, blooms from Autumn to Winter
Wildlife: Attracts honeyeating birds
