The City measures traffic on local roads by doing regular traffic counts to understand traffic patterns and inform future works.
Redcliffe Traffic Area Study
The City is working with an independent traffic engineering consultant to undertake modelling of the Redcliffe area local road network.
The study will involve data collection and analysis, forecast future demands and model scenarios of possible interventions the City may apply to address traffic concerns in the area, now and in the future. It will consider current traffic data and also how traffic may evolve in the coming years.
The study will include community consultation to understand the impacts of traffic on local residents, stakeholders and businesses.
Abernethy Road Study
Abernethy Road is a key connecting road in the City of Belmont. The City is conducting a traffic study on Abernethy Road to collect traffic data, and consider key intersections to ensure the traffic treatments on Abernethy Road will best serve the community in the coming years.
