 Belmont Hub

May 2020 Update

While the City’s new community centre, Belmont Hub at 213 Wright Street in the Faulkner Park Precinct, looks complete from the street level, there is still a long way to go before it can open to the public later this year.

Once the landscaping and paving works around Belmont Hub and the Civic Centre are complete, work on the internal fit out of the building will be undertaken.

This community-focused building is supported with significant grant funding from the Commonwealth and State amounting to approximately $13.7m.

The larger library, digital hub, senior citizens club, enhanced museum, a creche and cafe will reflect a modern, user-friendly facility intended for the community to access.

Other works progressing are the office spaces on the upper floor intended for community service organisations.

Occupancy of the building is expected in the later part of 2020.

The existing Civic Centre will continue to house the administration offices and staff of the City of Belmont.
