System Certification and Quality Assurance
The City of Belmont aims to provide quality products and services and has been internationally certified in the areas of Quality Assurance, Environmental Management and Occupational Health and Safety at its facilities in the Civic Centre, Library, Museum and Operations Centre.
The City’s external accreditation body, Bureau Veritas Australia and New Zealand has certified that these facilities meet the requirements of the International Organisation’s Standard ISO 9001 for Quality, ISO 14001 for Environment and ISO 45001 for Occupational Health and Safety.

The certifications assist the City in increased productivity, improved efficiency to reduce waste, less rework and continual improvement.
Quality Assurance
The City's Quality Certification means that core processes are recognised internationally as being quality assured. The Quality Management System is based on seven principles:

The City sought certification to ensure that its processes achieve the right outcomes for the community and to improve consistency in these outcomes.
Occupational Health and Safety
The Safety Certification demonstrates the City's continued commitment to strengthening our safety culture and integrating occupational health and safety into all aspects of the organisation.
We do this by incorporating continuous improvement philosophy, leadership and consultation with all staff and stakeholders, and by maintaining the highest standards to protect the wellbeing of our people.
Environment
The Environmental Certification demonstrates the City’s commitment to continual environmental improvement and the Environmental Management System provides a framework for the City to control the impact that its activities, products and services have on the environment.
