The City of Belmont’s Aboriginal Advisory Group (AAG) gives Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and non-Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community members and local stakeholders the chance to get involved in the implementation, ongoing monitoring and review of the City’s First Nations Strategy.
 
The AAG members:
 

• Support the City to meet the relevant actions in the City’s Strategic Community Plan 2020 to 2040, especially those parts which relate to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples;
• Continue to build links between all community members, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, Council members and staff.

The Aboriginal Advisory Group meets quarterly at the Ruth Faulkner Library on the first Tuesday of the month from 10am to 12pm.
