Community Watch security patrols
The City of Belmont currently operates three Belmont Community Watch vehicles, providing a 24/7 security patrol service throughout the year. These vehicles are equipped with CCTV for evidence-gathering purposes.

The role of Belmont Community Watch
Belmont Community Watch officers target suspicious behaviour and anti-social behaviour and help to keep the City safer. Officers are able to:
- Make patrols to hot spot areas identified by WA Police or residents;
- Complete security checks on premises within the City of Belmont or where residents or businesses have concerns;
- Report offences and/or criminal activities to WA Police if witnessed by the officers;
- Respond to general noise complaints after hours;
- Report graffiti damage to businesses or homes to Graffiti Report;
- Report damage to State Government infrastructure:
- Collect and correctly dispose of drug paraphernalia, such as syringes reported by residents or discovered during patrol activities;
- Respond to general noise complaints after hours.
