Impounded animals
Animals at the City of Belmont Animal Care Facility will be held for a maximum of 7 days for owners to reclaim them.
After 7 days, dogs and cats are then transferred to the City’s Authorised Contractor, Julie’s Kennels.
All animals transferred into Julie's Kennels will be assessed for suitability for re-homing.
The kennels are located at 12 Midas Road in Malaga. Phone 6310 4555 with any queries about impounded animals or alternatively click on the links below.

Cats must also be sterilised. If not, the facility will work with City Rangers to make suitable arrangements. This is mandatory under the
Cat Act 2011.

Unclaimed Animals
After the mandatory holding period, impounded animals which have not been claimed by their owner can be made available for re-homing.
