Belmont Business Park
If you are looking for somewhere to launch, expand or relocate your business, Belmont Business Park could offer the convenience and strategic location your business needs. This ‘Mixed Business Zone’ in the City’s Local Planning Scheme is emerging as one of WA’s most significant business hubs for a number of reasons.
Central location
Your business could gain a strategic advantage located in this gateway between Perth CBD, Perth Airport and industrial areas to the south. Belmont Business Park is bounded by Great Eastern Highway, Knutsford, Esther and Belmont Avenue, Alexander, Fisher, Hubert, Frederick and Daly Streets.
Major road, rail and public transport links in the area offer a range of sustainable transport options for freight, deliveries, customer access or commuting for your business team.
A vibrant mix of businesses
As a mixed use area, Belmont Business Park is home to a wide range of industries and sectors with:
- Approximately 500 land holdings
- More than 800 businesses
- Approximately 9,000 employment opportunities
No one single industry dominates the Business Park, but a number of key industries have enjoyed growth in the area, including a range of manufacturers, professional and technical services, construction, wholesale trade, and medical and other health care service providers.
An enjoyable place to work
Approximately 9,000 employees come to Belmont Business Park to work, with plenty of opportunities to eat, drink, shop, exercise or catch up on errands during lunch or after work.
With a business in this area, you and your team could enjoy:
- Easy access to the Belmont town centre for errands or shopping;
- A range of local dining options for food, drinks or a place to meet for a coffee;
- Exercise or time in nature, with easy access to the Swan River and Severin Walk, a tree-lined waterway path which connects Faulkner Park Belmont to the Swan River at Adachi Park, with several picnic areas and places to rest.
Industrial estates in Perth have not generally offered these kinds of facilities and lifestyle options for workers in the past, which contributes to making Belmont Business Park a unique area to do business.
Improvements to the area
The City has been involved in various infrastructure projects and development initiatives which have made Belmont Business Park an ideal location for a range of businesses. These improvements include:
- Belmont Avenue upgrades – to realign Belmont Avenue, add a cycle path, pedestrian path and extra street parking bays, development of a directional sign in Great Eastern Highway showing the Belmont Business Park along this route and streetscape upgrades including street furniture and directional signs within Belmont Avenue;
- Street parking project – which added approximately 800 parking bays along several streets within the Belmont Business Park;
- Transport Infrastructure Upgrade – with the installation of underground power along Belmont Avenue, the reconfiguring of parking bays, improvement of public transport through the area, upgrading and addition of bus stops with shelters and new signage;
- Street trees – the City plants approximately 250 established trees as part of the Street Tree Planting Program, and you can request street trees to be planted on your business verge.
These improvements have created a fresh identity for the area, encouraging a vibrant mix of businesses to relocate or launch in this unique precinct.
