Strategic Community Plan 2024-2034
This Plan shapes all other strategies across the City, outling the way Council will guide the future of Belmont, in collaboration with the community.
The Strategic Community Plan sets the long-term direction and focus for Council’s planning, budget and resource allocation process. It also describes how Council priorities and strategies will be managed, and the services, programs and projects to be delivered.

Corporate Business Plan
The Corporate Business Plan is an important part of the City's Integrated Planning and Reporting (IPR) Framework and guides the implementation of the Strategic Community Plan. The Corporate Business Plan translates the aspirations and strategies of the Strategic Community Plan into operational priorities and indicates how they will be resourced over a four year period, and articulates how the Strategic Community Plan will be delivered through services, capital works, projects and activities.

Access and Inclusion Plan 2022-2026
The City of Belmont recognises that the whole community benefits from better designed buildings and public spaces and ensuring all members can participate in and contribute to the social fabric of the community. The Access and Inclusion Plan outlines the strategies and actions that will guide the City in continuing to respond to the needs of people with disability, their families and carers in addition to the broader community.

Age Friendly Belmont Plan 2022-2027
The City has a significant number of senior residents, with nearly 1 in 5 of the population being 60 years of age or over. The Age Friendly Belmont initiative outlines the City’s commitment to improving the quality of life for older residents and to be a place where people are able to contribute and flourish whatever their age.

Asset Management Strategy 2021-2025
Managing and maintain the City’s assets is an important part in creating a thriving, vibrant community in our suburbs. The condition and longevity of assets can be difficult to determine, and as such careful planning is required for potential peaks and troughs in expenditure when renewing and replacing such assets. This Strategy seeks to improve our management and progress our risk management, service management and financial efficiency in relation to the City’s assets.

Belmont Foreshore Precinct Plan
The purpose of the City of Belmont Foreshore Precinct Plan is to provide a detailed planning tool to guide development and uses within the river setting; and ensure that the landscape values of the river system are conserved or enhanced for present and future generations. The plan guides the future use and management of the Belmont foreshore and the development interface with the Parks and Recreation reserve.

Belmont on the Move: Integrated Movement Network Strategy
Belmont on the Move is seeking to define what key elements, policies, projects and strategies are required over the next 10 years to ensure that residents, visitors and businesses can continue to move in, around and through the City. It is a strategy document that is focussed intently on local, placed based measures to effect change in travel behaviours.

The City of Belmont manages a diverse network of community infrastructure on behalf of our Community, supporting various activities, including cultural, educational, recreational, sporting, and community groups.

Placemaking Strategy 2018-2023
The City of Belmont Community Placemaking Strategy sets the direction that Council will take to create public spaces that promote health, happiness, wellbeing and prosperity. This will be achieved by drawing on the community’s assets, aspirations and potential.

- Empowered communities and strong partnerships; and

Reconciliation Action Plan 2015-2017
The City of Belmont acknowledges the Noongar Nation and specifically the Whadjuk people as the Traditional Custodians of this land and pays respects to Elders, past, present and future leaders.
The Reconciliation Action Plan includes the actions the City will take to continue to build strong relationships with the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community and organisations to help people to have their voices heard, and use culturally-appropriate practices and protocols to understand and meet the needs of local communities and create opportunities.

Recreation Strategy 2022-2025
Local governments have a central role to play in the provision of community sports and recreation opportunities. This position is reinforced in the Public Health Act 2016 (WA), which shifts the balance towards prevention through health and wellbeing, rather than cure.
The Recreation Strategy aims to guide the City of Belmont’s planning and provision of recreation-related infrastructure, including places and spaces. Effective planning will ensure our Community’s needs and aspirations are met now and in the future.

The Plan is intended to create real change towards a more sustainable transport network for the people within the City of Belmont.
