Local Government Ordinary Elections are held every two years on the third Saturday in October. At each election, half of the City of Belmont Councillors are elected for terms of four years.

The Mayor of the City of Belmont is elected by the electors and commenced from the 2023 local government elections in line with local government reforms.   
 

2025 Local Government Elections
