City of Belmont Community Contribution Fund provides additional COVID relief

The City of Belmont has extended financial support to the not-for-profit sector as part of its latest round of Community Contribution Fund (CCF) grants.

The CCF provides small financial support to eligible organisations and groups to develop community projects and initiatives within the City.

As part of the latest CCF round, a COVID-19 stream is available in addition to the standard CCF funding to support projects that respond to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic in the community or to mitigate against further outbreaks.

This funding is available for registered Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission organisations.

“This is just another way the City is supporting our community through the impact of COVID-19,” City of Belmont Mayor Cr Phil Marks said.

The COVID-19 stream aims to assist in the development of community networks and relationships impacted by the pandemic and to ensure a quick response to possible future outbreaks.

Funding of up to $5,000 (excluding GST) for eligible organisations is available for projects that have demonstrated benefit to the Belmont community.

Funds are available in the categories of community project, festival/event and equipment.

Applications and guidelines are available on the Community Contribution Fund page. The application process in quick and easy with a fast turnaround for approval.

All applications need to be received by the City by close of business on Wednesday, 31 March 2021. Information sessions to provide assistance with any queries regarding CCF applications will be held - see below for details.
