Changed Entry Requirements to Ruth Faulkner Library and Belmont Museum

As a result of updated advice received from the Health Department, visitors to Ruth Faulkner Library and Belmont Museum in Belmont Hub will no longer be required to show proof of vaccination effective from 9am Friday 11 February 2022.

The City sought clarification after conflicting information was received regarding museums being designated high-risk venues as Belmont Museum is co-located within the same building as Ruth Faulkner Library.

Advice has now been received from the Health Department that determines that local government run Library and Museums are not to be included in any requirements to show proof of vaccination.

As a result, the City has removed the requirement to show proof of vaccination to enter Ruth Faulkner Library. All other standards such as face masks and check-in on entry are still required.

Please note that due to the evolving nature of COVID-19, requirements are subject to change so please check on an ongoing basis for requirements which will depend on any new directions from the State Government.
