Multimedia Recording Suite
The multimedia recording suite is equipped with technologies to help users both record and edit audio and visual content such as music, voiceovers, podcasts, presentations and vlogs. This space will become available for public bookings in 2023.
In the meantime, workshops and programs are run throughout the year in the recording suite for people of all ages and skills levels. The suite offers a simple one-touch pre-set system for easy recording for beginners, while experienced users can utilise advanced equipment and software for recording and editing. Enquiries from community organisations about programs and partnerships are welcome.

Screening room
The screening room is a compact cinema offering a high-quality screening experience for your original content. The room is equipped with an 82-inch screen and surround sound, and features a range of seating options for up to 12 viewers. The screening room is available as part of the hire of the multimedia recording suite. Enquiries from community organisations about programs and partnerships are welcome.

Events room
With a capacity to seat more than 80 people, this space is where author talks, cooking demonstrations, musical performances and other events are held throughout the year. The room is fitted with a projector screen, smart lectern and inbuilt PA system. Enquiries from community organisations about programs and partnerships are welcome.

Demonstration kitchen
With commercial-grade cooking equipment and 6 workstations, our demonstration kitchen hosts cooking workshops and demonstrations for all ages and tastes. Enquiries from community organisations about programs and partnerships are welcome.

Innovation lab
This is a creative space designed to foster creativity and learning both through technology and traditional techniques. Workshops throughout the year include game design, employment skills, art and more. Enquiries from community organisations about programs and partnerships are welcome.

Children’s space
The children’s space is designed to stimulate the senses with vibrant colours, cosy nooks for reading and unique tunnel entrance.
Families will find a wide range of books for younger children and babies with easy access to the parenting room and the children’s courtyard outside. This space is home to a variety of programs for children throughout the year.
Library children’s courtyard
This area sits outside the children’s space with soft-fall flooring that can be used for reading, an active play break for energetic young people or just enjoying the sunshine. Gross and fine motor play sessions for children are held in this area regularly after story time.
Parenting room
Our parenting room is next to the children’s space and offers comfortable seating, a television, restrooms and change facilities for families.
Digital hub
This digital hub is dedicated to your printing, computing and study needs with 16 public computers, an accessibility computer and power access at almost every table.

Digi-Hub with Bub
A designated area for parents and carers who need to work on their own device with a child in tow. The space contains comfortable chairs, a rug, laptop table, PC and toys with the option to screen children's content on the wall mounted screen.
Collaborative booths
Collaborative booths offer a space for up to 6 people to discuss business, study or share digital content with casting to a screen and access to power points.
Booths are available to be booked for a maximum of 2 hours a day through SpaceToCo or in person via QR codes displayed on the booths.
Study lounge
Visit the study lounge to read, study or relax. You will find laptop tables, comfortable chairs, beanbags and power access, along with our extensive manga and graphic novel collection.
World news
In the world news area, you can read a range of international magazines and newspapers, and catch up on world news from the ABC.
Quiet room
This relaxing space is available for meditation, prayer, quiet reflection and reading. Electronic devices are not to be used in this room.
