Entries for the 2025 City of Belmont Local History Photographic competition are now open.

The Local History Photographic Competition is a wonderful opportunity to share our community's story and add to the Belmont Museum's photo collection.

Don’t forget, we're making history every day! You can submit photos from this year or old favourites that you’ve kept safe.

We want to see any photos that show what life is like in the City of Belmont, including important events, major changes, or special occasions.

2025 Theme: Home Made

You don't need to submit a photo relevant to the yearly theme of the Local History Photographic Competition. We think it is a good way to spark your memory of photos you may have at home, and diversify our photo collection!

This year we’re looking for photos relating to the theme “Home Made”, showcasing anything that was made by residents and visitors in the City of Belmont. This could be a house your grandparents built, a photo of your children eating their favourite homemade cupcakes or a piece of art that is proudly hanging on your wall painted by a family member.
