Belmont Hub Recognised For Excellence In Construction

Belmont Hub’s builder PACT Construction received four awards at the weekend’s Master Builders Association of Western Australia Bankwest Excellence in Construction Awards.

The City of Belmont’s community centre Belmont Hub was recognised for excellence in the categories of:
  • Best Public Use Building $20 - $50 Million;
  • Best Office Use Building $20 - $50 Million;
  • Excellence in Energy Efficiency; and
  • Excellence in Waste Management.
Opened in October 2020, the City of Belmont’s visually stunning Belmont Hub has become a landmark in the City‘s Faulkner Park Civic Precinct. The building is a vision created by Bollig Design Group and delivered by PACT Construction who overcame a number of challenges during the construction phase.

Belmont Hub is a highly functional, multi-purpose and cross-generational centre providing and integrating a wide range of services and activities.

The building features Ruth Faulkner Library over two levels, including a digital hub and multimedia recording studio, film screening room, state-of-the-art Belmont Museum, demonstration kitchen, seniors hub, office space for community service organisation providers on the second floor and much more.

The building achieved a 5 Star Green Star Design Review, and is currently working towards achieving a 6 Star Green Star As-Built certification.

With an average of 4000 people coming through the doors every week, the City continues to receive positive feedback from the community who use the building.

Take up of the dedicated office space for community service organisations on the second floor of Belmont Hub has resulted in the securing of five leases with another one expected in the coming months. A total of 12 tenancies are available on this floor which includes access to four fully equipped meeting rooms, a shared kitchen and breakout spaces.

An experienced café operator for the ground floor tenancy, 8 Yolks, has also been secured and is anticipated to open its doors in August.
